It’s our time to evolve so we say a fond farewell to our Ride-away store as we open our doors for one last time on 24th March 2019. We want to thank our loyal customers that have shopped with us in store for the last 39 years. But as one door closes, another opens – leading our focuses on our ever-expanding online store.
Our history…
Ride-away first opened its doors in 1980 by then owners Stephen and Angela Clark, both equipped with a wealth of equestrian knowledge and a desire to fulfill the needs of the local equestrian community. Through their passion, grit and determination Ride-away grew from a humble 400 sq ft building to the 15,000 sq ft megastore and online retailer we now know and love. Today, Ride-away is part of the e-commerce specialist, Internet Fusion Group and together is part of a family of equestrian, outdoor, fashion and action sports specialists. In our drive to become the best online equestrian store, we are focusing all of our efforts into our website, offering our customers a fantastic delivery promise and a vast range of products to choose from. Ride-away is evolving, who’s coming along for the ride?

As we all know the hot topic at the moment is sustainability, 2018 was an exciting year for Internet Fusion Group, as we stepped up our efforts to help with climate change by moving into our new 156,936 sq ft, state of the art, sustainable warehouse. What’s so exciting about our warehouse? This energy performance A-rated building is fitted with greywater systems making use of the rainwater, solar PV generating heat and hot water, it has a 100% bio and frack free gas tariff, a 100% renewable energy contract and is working towards a ‘zero to landfill’ goal with high recycling rates. As a group, we are setting the benchmark for our fellow retailers both nationally and worldwide in the fight against carbon emissions & plastic pollution.
It doesn’t stop there, we strive to be the best and endeavour to make your shopping experience a memorable one. Thanks to our two new CVP-500 automated packing machines our outbound packaging is now 97% plastic free. These state of the art machines can detect the dimensions of the items, cutting the recyclable cardboard packaging down to the perfect size which means no need for unnecessary bubble wrap or paper filling. All this clever technology has saved over 5,600 trees and reduced the need for 90 lorry loads per year. What’s even better is it’s 15 times faster than conventional packing methods, meaning your delivery is faster, smarter and cleaner. Just another way Ride-away is helping towards a better future.
